đž Resistance Survival Guide #6:
Because knowledge is powerâand fascists hate that.
Todayâs Featured Survival Skill:
Use Your Local Library as a Resistance Hub
Libraries arenât just for overdue books and weirdly damp carpetsâtheyâre one of the last publicly funded, freely accessible spaces where people can meet, organize, and educate themselves without swiping a credit card or getting frisked.
Fascists know this. Thatâs why they’re banning books, firing librarians, and gutting public funding. But weâre not just going to sit quietly in the reading nook and let that happen.
Hereâs how to turn your library card into a weapon of mass deprogramming:
1. Reserve the meeting room.
Most public libraries have free meeting spaces. Organize community teach-ins, mutual aid info sessions, or âBanned Book Clubsâ to read the very books theyâre afraid of.
2. Request banned books.
Ask your library to stock the banned and challenged titles theyâre trying to erase. Most librarians will back youâquietly, cleverly, and with the fury of a thousand shushed revolutions.
3. Use the tech.
Free internet. Free printers. Free software. Use it to design flyers, make protest signs, send encrypted emails, or run your resistance blog. (Hi.)
4. Protect the space.
Show up to board meetings when fascists try to push âparental controlâ policies. Speak. Be loud. Bring facts and friends.
5. Recruit and radicalizeâgently.
Leave a zine on the table. Strike up a conversation. Libraries are full of people looking for answers. Be one.

𧡠Today’s To-Do List:
â
Find your local library: American Library Association
â
Request at least one banned book this week. Try All Boys Arenât Blue, Gender Queer, or The Hate U Give.
â
Ask about reserving a meeting room. Even if you donât have a planâyet.
â
Print 5 flyers about your next action or fundraiser at the library.
â
Attend a library board meeting if oneâs coming up. Be seen. Be heard. Be annoying (in a good way).

They want you ignorant. They want you isolated. The public library says: not today, fascist.
