Because what’s a little constitutional crisis between fascist friends? Trump declared he’d “review” any Supreme Court decision that “interferes” with national security measures, especially if it limits Executive Orders under the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, he’s floating the idea of cherry-picking which SCOTUS rulings he follows. Checks and balances? Never heard of her.
Snarky Translation: Trump just announced he’s not just above the law—he’s bored with pretending laws exist.
🚔 2. DOJ FILES CONTEMPT MOTION AGAINST RESISTERS
The Department of Justice officially filed for contempt against legal aid groups and sanctuary cities who are refusing to comply with Trump’s alien detention mandates. The feds are targeting lawyers who provide support to undocumented immigrants, claiming they are “interfering with national operations.”
Snarky Translation: Apparently helping people is now a crime, but inciting insurrection? Totally presidential.
💸 3. BILL TO EXPAND ‘PATRIOT VOUCHERS’ PASSES HOUSE
The House just passed a bill to extend “Patriot Vouchers” — government coupons redeemable for militia supplies, religious schooling, and “freedom centers.” These publicly funded vouchers now cover military-style training for minors and Christian nationalist textbooks. Senate expected to vote next week.
Snarky Translation: They’re defunding your kids’ schools to fund toddler militias and fake Jesus history books.
