NSPM-7: Trump Just Made “Thinking for Yourself” a Crime
So Trump woke up and decided, “Hey, why don’t we make it illegal to not worship me?” Enter NSPM-7, the fascist scratch pad dressed up as a “national security directive.”
This dumpster-fire memo tells the FBI, DOJ, and your local cop with a Napoleon complex to go after anyone showing “indicia” of anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, anti-Christianity, or gasp hostility toward “traditional family values.” Translation: If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at Wall Street greed, questioned why pastors need private jets, or pointed out that the “nuclear family” is a cage, congrats — you’re now a suspect.
Oh, and in case you were wondering if Trump remembered the First Amendment? Nope. Didn’t even make the footnotes.
Why This is a Cat-astrophe
- He’s criminalizing beliefs, not actions. Thought crimes, but make it MAGA.
- Vagueness is the point: “anti-American” = anyone not wearing a red hat.
- “Traditional values” = code for homophobia, sexism, and Christian nationalism.
- Pre-crime powers = cops can disrupt and surveil you before you’ve done anything.
This isn’t about safety. It’s about silencing dissent, labeling protest as terrorism, and giving his loyal goons the excuse to cage us.
