What this tool is
A tactical guide to protest safety that keeps resisters powerful, visible, and peaceful. It’s how to prepare, march, and come home safe while showing the world our strength.
Why it’s important
The regime craves chaos to justify repression. They want one broken window to call an entire movement “terrorism.” Peaceful protest flips the script: it shows discipline, exposes state violence, and keeps public opinion on our side.
Step-by-step instructions
- Buddy Up – Always protest in pairs or pods. Assign roles: comms, medic, de-escalator, documenter.
- Pack Smart – Water, snacks, mask, goggles, ID, cash, meds. Write the jail hotline on your arm.
- Know Your Rights – You can record police. If stopped: ask, “Am I free to leave?” If arrested: stay silent, demand a lawyer.
- Secure Your Phone – Disable face/Touch ID, set a PIN, turn off lock-screen previews, consider airplane mode.
- Stay Peaceful – Don’t take bait. Chant, sing, raise signs. Keep hands visible and tempers low.
- Document Receipts – Capture badge numbers, times, locations. Hand footage to legal observers.
- Exit Strategy – Pre-plan rally points and exits. Check in every 30 minutes.
- Aftercare – Debrief, hydrate, rest, support mental health, and follow up on legal/medical needs.
Example of why it matters
During past protest waves, the most disciplined, peaceful crowds won the most allies. Footage of calm marchers facing militarized police shifted national conversations and exposed authoritarian overreach.

Resistance Kitty says
Peace is a weapon, kittens. Don’t give them chaos—give them discipline, unity, and a story they can’t spin.
