Skill Level: Intermediate
Why This Matters:
Ever scream at your screen when a news anchor says “both sides are to blame” while one side is literally banning books, jailing protestors, and salivating over autocracy? Yeah, us too. Corporate media loves false equivalency—it keeps advertisers happy and truth buried. If we let them keep getting away with it, the next headline will be “Democracy Dies in Discourse.”
Real-World Example:
CNN gave airtime to a Project 2025 architect without identifying them as a fascist insurgent. Instead, they were called a “policy expert.” Meanwhile, a peaceful climate protestor was labeled “a far-left agitator.” That’s not journalism. That’s propaganda with better lighting.
What You Can Do:
- Name the Problem Out Loud
When you see false equivalency—call it out. Loudly. Publicly. “Reporting both sides” isn’t journalism when one side is torching the Constitution. - Write a Savage Comment or Letter
TV station? Write a letter to the editor. Social media post? Clap back with facts. Don’t let a misleading headline skate by. Bonus: tag media watchdogs like @mmfa or @FAIRmediawatch. - Support Independent & Resistance Media
Follow and fund sources like Democracy Now!, Unicorn Riot, or local resistance zines. Share their work far and wide. Corporate media won’t save you—they’re too busy counting ad revenue. - Use Screenshots as Ammo
Screenshot the offending article. Highlight the biased language. Annotate it like your snarkiest high school English teacher. Then post that baby on social. Add links to better coverage. You just turned misinformation into a public takedown. - Track Repeat Offenders
Create or contribute to “media bias receipts” lists. Log journalists, outlets, and platforms that consistently mislead or soften fascism. (Hint: FOX News, Sinclair Broadcasting, and Elon’s Twitter clone.) - Feed the Resistance Directory
Submit media exposé tips, biased headlines, and disinfo campaigns to ResistanceDirectory.com. Together we build a library of truth bombs.
Reminder: Free press is essential. But unchecked false balance is a tool of authoritarianism. Resist it with facts, fury, and feline-grade precision.

Today’s Kitty Quote:
“Fascism doesn’t need to silence the press. It just needs them to bothsides their way to oblivion.”
