Day 584: ICE Pregnancy Horror, Private Bounty Hunters, Voter Purges, and Another $10 Million Florida Mystery

Posted on August 28, 2026August 28, 2026 Dr. Harmony By Dr. Harmony No Comments on Day 584: ICE Pregnancy Horror, Private Bounty Hunters, Voter Purges, and Another $10 Million Florida Mystery

Happy Friday from the country where ICE is tripling orders to private companies paid to locate immigrants, Texas reportedly suspended more than a million voter registrations before the midterms, and a Florida grand jury found $10 million intended for healthcare was misappropriated into political activity without finding enough evidence to criminally charge anyone. Meanwhile, an ICE agent allegedly left a gun in an airport bathroom, HHS released a report linking support for transgender rights with political violence, and a woman says immigration detention denied her appropriate pregnancy care before she suffered a stillbirth. Nothing screams government efficiency quite like losing the gun while finding the pregnant woman.

Resistance Kitty Says “Morning, Kitties. Texas put 1.2 million voters in electoral purgatory, ICE tripled its private bounty hunter shopping spree, and a woman says she begged for pregnancy care in detention before losing her baby. But don't worry, the administration remains laser focused on the real emergency: Renaming Lake Ontario.”

Minnesota Officials Say Evidence Could Support Charges in the Renee Good Case

Minnesota authorities are signaling a major development in the investigation into Renee Good’s death, saying investigators now believe the available evidence could support criminal charges. The exact potential charges and who could face them need to be confirmed from the official announcement, but if prosecutors move forward, this would mark a major escalation in Minnesota’s effort to hold federal immigration personnel accountable.

A Woman Says ICE Detention Denied Her Pregnancy Care Before Her Stillbirth

The Intercept reports that a pregnant immigrant repeatedly sought medical attention while detained, was later hospitalized, and suffered a stillbirth before facing deportation proceedings. The case raises grave questions about medical care inside immigration detention, because pregnancy should not become a punishment administered by fucking bureaucracy.

ICE Tripled Orders to Private Companies Paid to Find Immigrants

ICE placed $57.1 million in new orders with fourteen private skip tracing companies that use commercial databases, public records, online information, physical address verification, and photographs to locate immigrants. Apparently bounty hunting got a software subscription and a federal procurement number.

Texas Reportedly Suspended More Than 1.2 Million Voter Registrations

Raw America reports that Texas suspended more than 1.2 million voter registrations roughly two months before the midterms, while election disputes and federal monitoring continue escalating nationwide. Whether every suspension is justified matters enormously, which is why voters should check their registration now instead of discovering the problem while standing at a polling place.

A Federal Judge Blocked Trump’s New Mail Voting Rules Again

Federal Judge Indira Talwani ruled Trump’s new mail voting requirements likely unconstitutional and practically impossible to implement before voting begins, temporarily blocking them after the Supreme Court had earlier allowed the administration to proceed. Democracy has once again activated parental controls because somebody keeps touching the election settings.

A Florida Grand Jury Found $10 Million Was Misappropriated

A Florida grand jury concluded that $10 million from a Medicaid settlement was misappropriated through Hope Florida and ultimately reached political committees and the Republican Party of Florida, although it found insufficient evidence to criminally charge anyone. Money intended to help poor children obtain health insurance apparently took the scenic route through Florida politics.

An ICE Agent Reportedly Left a Gun in an Airport Bathroom

An ICE agent reportedly left a firearm unattended inside a restroom beyond security at San Francisco International Airport and returned for it after police responded. The incident occurred one day before another ICE operation at the airport, because apparently airport security applies differently when you bring your own badge.

HHS Published a Report Linking Trans Support With Political Violence

A new HHS report claims support for transgender rights correlates with left wing authoritarianism and greater acceptance of political violence, while LGBTQ advocates condemn the research as ideologically driven junk science. Government agencies manufacturing sweeping political narratives about marginalized communities deserve considerably more scrutiny than a twenty page PDF and a press release.

A Sexual Assault Lawsuit Was Dismissed as a Workers Compensation Matter

A federal judge dismissed civilian engineer Elsie Dominguez’s lawsuit alleging she was raped aboard a Navy transport ship after determining her claim belonged within the federal workers compensation system. If being sexually assaulted in your own bed aboard a ship counts as an occupational injury, perhaps the workplace safety manual needs considerably more fucking pages.

Nevada’s Governor Backed Data Centers Days After a $1 Million Political Donation

Three days after an AI investor and his wife donated $1 million to a PAC supporting Governor Joe Lombardo, Lombardo publicly championed Nevada’s data center expansion, and another $1 million arrived from a developer’s wife a week later. The timing does not prove a quid pro quo, but it certainly deserves a calendar, a highlighter, and several uncomfortable questions.

Susan Collins’ Attack on Maine Schools Leaves Out a Huge Piece of the Ranking

A Collins campaign ad blames Troy Jackson for Maine ranking last in a national high school ranking, but FactCheck.org found missing Advanced Placement data significantly depressed the state’s position. Political advertising remains the magical art of finding a technically real number and removing everything that makes it understandable.

The Backlash Against Always On Tech Is Growing

Communities resisting AI data centers, Flock cameras, and Meta’s camera equipped glasses are increasingly converging around concerns about surveillance, resource consumption, and technology imposed without meaningful public consent. Silicon Valley spent years asking whether it could put cameras everywhere and is discovering that people occasionally answer, “Get that fucking thing away from me.”

Closing RK Thoughts

Today’s news is about consent.

Consent to surveillance. Consent to government tracking. Consent to medical treatment. Consent to technology recording public life. Consent to political systems quietly changing the rules governing whether your vote counts.

Power loves pretending consent is unnecessary when compliance is easier.

That is why registration checks matter. Court challenges matter. Medical records matter. Contract databases matter. Campaign finance records matter. People willing to say no matter.

Check your voter registration. Read the contracts. Follow the money. Protect the people whose rights are easiest for government to treat as administrative inconveniences.

And when somebody insists the system is working exactly as intended, ask who the fuck it was intended to work for.

Stay Ungovernable Kittie! Claws out. Receipts ready.
