This morning, the fascist House majority shoved through a budget bill so vile it might as well have been ghostwritten by Ayn Rand’s worst hangover. It slashes healthcare, food assistance, housing aid, and education—but keeps every corporate subsidy and military pork barrel intact. We’re talking $100B+ to defense contractors, $0 to public housing. Oh, and did we mention the hidden tax cuts for luxury real estate developers? Yep. That yacht marina loophole survived, but your kid’s lunch program? Axed.
THE BUDGET RECEIPTS:
- Defunds Medicaid expansion in 17 states
- Converts SNAP (food stamps) to a cruel, time-limited “voucher system”
- Eliminates federal funding for school meals, public libraries, and Pell Grants
