The Daily Shit Show News #647: ICE Spies on the Left, Trump Defies a Judge and the DOJ Revenge Tour Hits a Wall

Posted on October 28, 2026October 28, 2026 Resistance Kitty By Resistance Kitty No Comments on The Daily Shit Show News #647: ICE Spies on the Left, Trump Defies a Judge and the DOJ Revenge Tour Hits a Wall

Democracy brought receipts, kittens, and the regime brought a rake to step on.

Well, well, well, kittens. The surveillance state found the left, the revenge machine found another wall, and Trump found a judge he thinks can be overruled by a golf tantrum.

Resistance Kitty says, “This is your brain on nazi propaganda; any fucking questions?”
Resistance Kitty says, “This is your brain on nazi propaganda; any fucking questions?”

Daily Shit Show Highlights

  • Reuters reports that 21 states and Washington sued over a rule exempting nearly every covered business from ownership disclosure. Shell companies get privacy while protesters get dossiers. Cute.
  • The PunchUp reports that Tom Homan flew aboard the luxury jet fleet that helped roast Kristi Noem before Trump fired her. Nothing says humiliation like your rival inheriting the aircraft from your scandal.
  • Popular Information reports that Senator Roger Marshall bought $250,000 in obscure pharmaceutical stock shortly before a key FDA clearance, then disclosed it more than 240 days late. He now helps oversee the FDA, because ethics apparently died during committee orientation.
  • The Hill reports that Hasan Piker sued Scott Jennings for $72.5 million, alleging Jennings used manipulated footage and a fabricated quotation to accuse him of supporting lynching. The claims remain allegations, but the legal invoice has already entered the chat.
  • WIRED reports that ICE deployed undercover agents, drones, intercepted chats and Patriot Act tools against left wing activists. The deportation agency has apparently launched a COINTELPRO tribute act with more data and fewer scruples.
  • MS NOW reports that former federal prosecutors created the Rule of Law Project to investigate cases they say Trump’s Justice Department will not touch. When justice closes shop, the alumni apparently have to reopen it.
  • WIRED reports that a British watchdog may investigate secretive AI tools used in asylum cases following concerns about errors and invented material. Human lives met machine summaries, and transparency was apparently marked optional.
  • The New Republic reports that Trump declared he would fight limits on his East Potomac golf course takeover. The president now believes wayward golf balls outrank federal judges, which is painfully on brand.
  • Seth Abramson catalogs another installment of what he describes as Trump’s 100 election rigging schemes. Democracy now needs a threat index because the coup sequel arrived with bonus content.
  • Resistance Kitty reports that Trump rejected international election monitors, ending a tradition observed by both parties for more than two decades. Nothing screams confidence like hiding the referees before kickoff.
  • The Jerusalem Post reports that Gadi Eisenkot declared victory as preliminary results placed his bloc ahead of Netanyahu’s, although neither side secured a governing majority. Netanyahu may have discovered that permanent power is not technically a constitutional right.
  • Donny Evans reports that Hegseth faith adviser Ryan Higgins posted racist, homophobic, anti Muslim and election denial content. The Pentagon’s spiritual guidance office appears to be hiring directly from the comments section.
  • FactCheck.org dismantles more than a dozen false, misleading or exaggerated claims from Trump’s midterm rallies. His economic plan remains three lies in a trench coat clutching a tariff calculator.
  • AlterNet reports that Donald Trump Jr. urged state officials to ease up on prediction markets while advising or investing in companies that could benefit. The family business model remains public power, private jackpot.
  • The Miami Herald reports that the Alexander brothers received 30 year sentences after their sex trafficking convictions. Survivors described the lifelong damage, reminding everyone that accountability arrives late and never repairs everything stolen.
  • The Washington Post reports that a grand jury declined to indict Cassidy Hutchinson over her January 6 testimony. Even the grand jury inspected the revenge menu and sent it back to the kitchen.
  • WIRED reports that DOGE operative Jeremy Lewin helped gut USAID while its human resources and security systems had no record of him working there. He could destroy an agency, but apparently could not obtain an employee badge.
  • Mother Jones reports that ICE has separated children from parents and classified some as unaccompanied before sending them into federal custody or foster care. The paperwork says processing, kittens, but the children experience disappearance.
  • NBC News reports that a judge struck a new charge against two former FBI officials after prosecutors filed an unsigned complaint using a procedure they admitted had never been tried. The revenge machine remains loud, sloppy and apparently unfamiliar with forms.

Today’s litter box contains surveillance, political prosecutions, family separation, corporate secrecy and enough conflicts of interest to wallpaper Mar a Lago. Keep your claws sharp, protect the vulnerable, verify before sharing and vote like democracy has already used eight of its nine lives.
